Are we GOOD?

It has been ages since I posted I see. oops !
Well I had a thought tonight. I belong to a forum for Moms and the groups I belong to is a christian one within the forum.
OK so I read a lot of things from these ladies with all different walks of the christian life. Many that shock me , mind you!
Many seem quick to say they are good Christians and for some reason that annoys me.
The bible speaks about how Jesus said NO ONE is GOOD except the Father. The Rich Young Man 16Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
17"Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied. "There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments." 18"Which ones?" the man inquired. Matthew 19:16-18
So why do we go around saying we are good? The word says the heart is deceitfully wicked.. so how can we be GOOD when we are full of the sinful ways and yes we all have sin in one way or another. I don't know that we are ever sin free or are we?
When someone says they are good it is after they just shared their sinful life. I do not understand it really!
I know I'm not a good christian but I do know I am a forgiven one! Forgiven doesn't mean your good it just means your free!
I'm not trying to be negative but trying to understand the logic of Good Christian.
Wow, I went to dictionary.com and typed in good and I got a long long list of defenitions of the word.
Truly amazing how often the word is used to describe many things in this world and in our lives!
So, I just wonder if I am right or wrong in being annoyed about people saying they are GOOD Christians?
It is hard for me not to respond to those that make that comment and the most recent was hard to respond to without them thinking I am judgemental.
Crazy world we live in and I just often wonder how Father feels... He sees it all .... how sick in heart it must make Him.. even my own sins make His heart sick but He still loves us regardless. that doesnt mean we are to get away with murder so to speak but that we learn from our mistakes and move forward on the righteous path rather than the one that leads us away from Him.
So yeah those are my thoughts at the moment.
