This has been the topic as of recent! I have dealt with so many disappointments in life yet the Word says Hope doesn't disappoint. When we hope in God we have no reason to be disappointed, so why do we encounter that so often?
This is the passage I found on this specific verse...
Romans 5
Peace and Joy
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us
Wow, Hope does not disappoint BECAUSE God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit!
So does this mean that when we are disappointed we have not truly believed He has poured out His love into us?? It says that we are to rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
As I listened to Lonnie from Blazing Fire preach... I was teary eyed because everything he spoke on was what was on my heart... one thing he mentioned was as Christians we are supposed to be happy, joyful in the midst of the sufferings! I know that the sufferings I am going through doesn’t even compare to what my beloved, precious Lord went through... that to me is love! Amazing precious love!
One song I am listening to over again (it’s my dearest, precious Sara's fault she got me listening to it and I cannot stop, its like a magnet!) One of the verses says and the rain has fallen and the clouds have rolled away the sweetest name remains on my soul... wow no matter the storm He still remains upon my heart and soul!
The other powerful verse for me is, as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I have no doubt YOU have ALREADY gone ahead YOU are my fire by night and my cloud by day
Then it says and ten thousand fall on my right and my left, UNDER the shadow of the MOST HIGH I will find REST You are my fire by night and my cloud by day!
These verses have tugged deep in my heart and made me realize how powerful my beloved Lord is and how deep His love is for me!
You see He suffered in the valley where death was... He went ahead for ME and for US so I and WE wouldn’t have to suffer like He did, He did it for us! He will always be my fire by night and my cloud by day! No matter what He is there for me and for you too! When the enemy is all around they will fall on my right and my left and in the midst of that battle I will find rest under the shadow of the most high! So profound to me!
I almost cannot grasp it yet it makes me weep inside!
Today I was watching Patricia Kings segment on Honor and her husband was on the show and something he said made me realize why things are so ugly right now in my home.
Patricia got saved first and prayed and prayed for her husband, meanwhile he was fighting her because he didn’t like the fact that she was so joyful and happy and praising Jesus all the time, the more she pressed in the angrier he got until one day he has a visitation and within a week after that he came to Jesus and received Him into his heart!
As we re-read the verse in Romans, as we have faith which does increase we will experience sufferings but if we persevere it produces character in us... that change is what people who are not close to Jesus do not like, so we as push the heat gets hotter but ... but... the end will be glorious, we will shine! So grasping the hold of knowing His love is pouring in us, shaping us, building character in us hope will soon not disappoint and we can rejoice in Him!
So we (I) can take comfort in knowing that He is in control especially if we let go!
Lonnie also spoke about letting go and letting God... How do we do that? What does it look like?
Look at that carefully! When we LET GOD, then we let go! Its like this, a child wants something but in his hands he still has a toy but in order to have that bigger toy he needs to let go of what is in his hands first! The child could try to carry both items but they tend to trip and fall and are out of balance! How much more so is that for us when we carry all this junk, we are unable to have the things God wants to give us, we could try to have both but it doesn’t work to well, does it?
So what does that passage in Romans mean to you? How has God changed you so that Hope doesn’t disappoint and you rejoice in Him?
I know Daddy loves me and His timing is perfect yet it is hard when there is negativism all around and I will write my next blog on that topic!
May you know that God loves you with an everlasting love!
Have a blessed day!
In Christ's amazing love, Shannon

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
I really like when people are expressing their opinion and thought. So I like the way you are writing
